Big Big Table Community Café is a lunchtime restaurant open to EVERYBODY! They are focused on serving delicious, nutritious, meals while at the same time championing healthy, local food options, addressing food insecurity, reducing food waste, and supporting community.
At Big Big Table, guests are invited to exchange money, time, or groceries in exchange for their meal. Their pay-as-you-can model strives to promote healthy individuals and communities.
The Tool Library empowers communities with the resources to drive positive change. The Tool Library, a volunteer-run nonprofit in Buffalo's University Heights, lends over 3,000 tools for a small annual fee, ensuring accessibility for individuals, organizations, and businesses. Their commitment extends to community projects, fostering civic engagement through initiatives like clean-ups, tree-plantings, gardens, and art installations! Adjacent to the Tool Library, the Community Laboratory ('CoLab') serves as a hands-on workshop space, promoting skill-sharing and knowledge exchange to strengthen community bonds.
